Due to rain during monsoon, a situation of waterlogging has arisen in the district. Due to which the number of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes which spread dengue is increasing rapidly. Meanwhile, the Health Department has confirmed four dengue patients, who are being treated for better treatment.

District Infectious Officer Dr. Ankita Singh said that among the four patients in whom dengue has been confirmed, a 25-year-old youth is a resident of Sikandarpur Sarosi. A 21 year old youth is from Kalu Kheda of Asoha block and a 74 year old man is also from Kanchanpur of Asoha block. And a five-year-old girl is a resident of Khandwa Kheda village. The condition of all the patients is said to be stable and attention is being given to their treatment.
CMO Dr. Satyaprakash said that in view of the dengue cases, the health department has taken immediate action. Mosquito control teams have been sent to the patients’ homes and surrounding areas. It is being ensured that people do not allow waterlogging around their homes. So that the breeding of mosquitoes can be stopped. Health department teams have sensitized local residents to take appropriate measures to avoid mosquito bites.
The cases of fever and cold have also increased during the monsoon season. Dr. Satyaprakash said that more than five hundred patients are coming to OPD every day for fever, cold and other seasonal diseases. Due to this increasing pressure, necessary arrangements are being made in hospitals. The Health Department has started work towards improving medical services at primary health centers and community health centres.
Health experts believe that to avoid diseases like dengue, it is necessary that people keep their surroundings clean and avoid waterlogging. It is extremely important to destroy the breeding sites of mosquitoes. For this, water tanks, coolers, pots and other places in homes should be cleaned regularly.
