India shared info on Khalistani terrorist Sandeep Singh Sidhu, aka Sunny, who killed Shaurya Chakra awardee Balwinder Singh Sandhu.
India on Saturday informed Canada about Khalistani terrorist Sandeep Singh Sidhu, aka Sunny, who works as a border police official there. Pakistani spy agency ISI-backed Sandeep Singh Sidhu is wanted for murdering Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a Shaurya Chakra awardee. Balwinder Singh Sandhu was shot dead outside his home in Bhikhiwind, Tarn Taran district, in October 2020.
Sandhu received the Shaurya Chakra for his efforts against militancy in the state during the 1990s. The Shaurya Chakra is an Indian military decoration awarded for acts of valour, courageous action, or self-sacrifice when not in direct combat with the enemy.
Sandeep shot Balwinder for trying to prevent the Canadian ‘border agent’ from smuggling narcotics and weapons across the border. He was in touch with Pakistan-based Khalistan Liberation Front (KLF) terrorist Lakhbir Singh Rode and other ISI operatives.
