The Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind delegation, which was going to meet the Bahraich riot victims, was detained by the police at Lucknow airport. Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind issued a press note and gave information regarding the related matter. According to the information received, General Secretary of the organization was present in the delegation.

He was taken into custody by the police as soon as he landed at Lucknow airport. The delegation was stopped from proceeding further and was not allowed to go to Bahraich. It was told that the Jamiat delegation had left for Bahraich from Delhi. The purpose of this visit was to meet the affected people of Bahraich, get information about their situation and provide them all possible help. Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has always worked to promote peace, brotherhood and social harmony in the country, and helps all kinds of victims without any religious discrimination.
Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind protested against stopping the delegation. The organization said that why is the police and administration stopping the delegation going to help the victims. Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind demands that the delegation be immediately released and allowed to complete their work.
