A major accident occurred at around 8 pm on Sunday night at Kanchausi railway gate located on the Delhi-Howrah rail route in Auraiya. A tractor loaded with chaff went out of control and overturned near the railway gate, causing chaos in the railways. The tractor loaded with chaff was going from Laharapur towards Auraiya.

Relief work of police and railways The gateman immediately informed the incident to the Kanchausi station superintendent, who alerted higher authorities. As soon as the information was received, Railway Police and Civil Police reached the spot. Police personnel called for a crane and straightened the tractor and parked it. Also, nearby people were called to remove the straw spread on the track.
The situation became normal after around 8.30 pm. Outpost in-charge Kuldeep Kumar said that no major accident has occurred due to tractor overturning near the crossing and all necessary steps have been taken. The railway track is now safe and train operations are back to normal.
