A two-year-old girl who was stolen from a train in Saharanpur has been found. The father had conspired to divorce his wife. The grandmother along with her sister had stolen the girl. GRP has arrested the wife, mother-in-law and her sister. The girl was recovered from Ludhiana railway station.

Father and grandmother caught in kidnapping case of their daughter.

Two-year-old Naira, who was sleeping with her parents in the Howrah-Amritsar Express, was abducted by two women wearing burqa last Thursday night. It was visible on CCTV cameras on both the platforms. The case was filed by Neha Khatoon, resident of Mohalla Bhattawala, Noorpur, Bijnor, and her husband Arun, resident of village Gospura, district Sangrur Punjab.

GRP checked the footage of more than 500 CCTV cameras during the investigation. While chasing the accused, she covered about six hundred kilometers till Ludhiana railway station. The team recovered Naira from near the station. Also, her grandmother Meena and Meena’s sister Shabana, resident of village Gospura police station Ahmedgarh Maler Kotla, district Sangrur Punjab, who kidnapped her, were arrested.

During interrogation, the accused told that Arun wanted to divorce his wife Neha. Due to this, he along with the mother and aunt got the girl kidnapped. GRP also caught Aaron. The recovered girl was handed over to her mother. GRP Inspector Sanjeev Kumar says that more than 500 CCTV cameras were examined to search for the girl. The girl has been recovered from Ludhiana.
