Employees are facing problems in salary
These defaulters have not been paying taxes in Gonda Municipal Council for the last several years, due to which there is problem in paying salaries to the employees. The government has taken action to stop the salaries of negligent officers and employees, due to which the council has now initiated action against the defaulters.
Warning of fine and legal action
Gonda Municipal Council officials have clarified that if the defaulters do not deposit the outstanding tax within a week, they will be charged higher fines. Apart from this, if tax is not deposited, legal action will also be taken.
City Magistrate’s statement
Gonda City Magistrate Vijay Kumar said notices have been issued by the council and if the defaulters do not pay the tax on time, their movable and immovable properties will be attached by the district administration. Despite repeated notices, the negligence of the defaulters is a matter of concern.
