A lecture and speech competition based on the biographies of India’s brave women was organized on Tuesday under the aegis of Women’s Studies Center and History Department of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. Along with girl students, students also participated in the competition.

Professor Bindu Sharma said in the program – UGC also wants that not only girl students but also students should be sensitive on issues related to women empowerment and social awareness. So that the message of gender equality reaches the society and students also become participants in this campaign. Said that the status of women empowerment has improved in India, but there is still a need to increase awareness about the rights and contribution of women in many parts of the society. Special attention needs to be paid to empowering women working in small offices, domestic work and service sector.

The path to move forward towards empowerment is paved. History Department Chairman Prof. KK Sharma said – This type of event still has its own importance in our society, because through this, students are able to move in a positive direction and present their views strongly and move forward in the direction of empowerment of the society. Is expanded.

These were the toppers in the competition

Shivani, a student of History Department, got the first place in the competition, Bhanu Pratap got the second place, Khushi Sharma and Kush Giri got the third place. Consolation prizes went to Jyotima Srivastava, Rajshree Goyal, Rishita Tyagi, Isha Chaudhary, Shagun Chaudhary, Kashish Sharma and Richa. Dr. Yogesh Kumar of History Department, Dr. Apeksha Choudhary of Law Department and Dr. Neha MBA were in the jury of the speech competition.
