With the announcement of by-election on Majhwan assembly seat, political turmoil has intensified. Pragatisheel Manav Samaj Party (PHSP) has declared Swayamvar Pal as its candidate. At the same time, AIMIM candidates will also be in the fray for Kundarki and Meerapur seats. In response to the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula adopted by the Samajwadi Party in the Lok Sabha elections, Apna Dal Kamerawadi, AIMIM and Pragatisheel Manav Samaj Party have tried to garner votes under the PDM (Backward, Dalit, Muslim).

All political parties are keeping an eye on this area adjacent to Varanasi, the parliamentary seat of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In an attempt to woo Muslim voters here, INDIA alliance has made this seat a question of prestige.

This time, BSP has fielded Dr. Jyoti Bind, daughter of former BJP MP from Bhadohi, Ramesh Bind, who is in the election race for the first time. At the same time, BSP has placed a bet on Deepak Tiwari alias Deepu in the hope of winning by getting Brahmin votes along with its traditional voters. However, BJP has not yet announced its candidate.

There is a possibility of a close contest between NDA and INDIA alliance in the by-elections. All the parties are once again preparing to cross the electoral hurdle with the help of casteism. There is sure to be a fight for every vote in Majhwan seat, which will make the political activities of this area even more interesting.
