Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Government of India, Ramnath Thakur reached Acharya Narendra Agriculture and Technological University, Ayodhya on Tuesday. He garlanded the statue of Acharya Narendra Dev and toured various areas of the university.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Bijendra Singh informed the Minister about the development works of the University. The minister reviewed the works by holding a meeting with teachers and scientists. Union Agriculture Minister Ramnath Thakur said that Acharya Narendra Dev was his father’s friend, hence he has a deep attachment to this agricultural university.
The university grew rapidly in the fields of education, research and dissemination.

The Vice Chancellor said that every year more than Rs 4 crore seeds are sold in the university. On which the minister expressed happiness. The Vice Chancellor said that today the Agriculture University is selling 2 crore 80 lakh seeds in Kharif crop and 1 crore 75 lakh seeds in Rabi crop. The university has progressed rapidly in the fields of education, research, extension, animals, seeds and sanitation etc.
He said that apart from education and research, the Agricultural University is inspiring the Tharu tribe towards education and helping TB patients in their diseases by adopting them, this is an inspiration for others. Today our country is moving towards rapid development in the field of agriculture.
Natural farming is making 10 acres of barren land cultivable.

Minister Ramnath Thakur said that the attachment of women towards agricultural education has also increased faster than before. He expressed happiness over making 10 acres of barren land cultivable and doing natural farming.
The Vice Chancellor gave a presentation during the meeting. Be it related to the education of students or development works, the Vice Chancellor informed about all these things. He said that students are being sent abroad for training and sports and gym facilities are being provided for their all-round development.
Six lakh farmers joined agricultural science centers
The Union Minister of State for Agriculture was informed about the paddy crop.
So far 70 MoUs have been signed with various national and international institutions. Six lakh farmers are doing agricultural work by joining Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Apart from this, the Vice Chancellor informed the Minister about various other works.
