According to the incident, the thieves first hacked the neighbour’s CCTV camera. So that they can avoid any kind of surveillance at the time of theft. This incident happened at 11:18 pm in the night and the thieves hacked the camera as part of their conspiracy. Due to which it remained closed for four hours till 04:39 in the morning. Due to this, thieves committed theft without any fear. The special thing is that the thieves had connected the camera to WiFi using a hi-tech device, due to which the camera started automatically after the theft.

When the thieves entered the hardware shop and committed theft, they also opened the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) of the shop and also managed to take away cash worth lakhs of rupees. Shop owner Bharat Sahu told that when he opened his shop he came to know of the theft. He immediately informed the police and demanded investigation into the matter.

Shop owner Bharat Sahu said, “I was shocked when I saw that the DVR and cash were missing. It seemed as if all this was done as part of a well-planned plan.” He has demanded the police to take action as soon as possible and catch the thieves. Considering the seriousness of the matter, Gangaghat Kotwali police has started investigation.

The police have started scanning all the CCTV footage around the shop to get some clues about the thieves. Police officials said they are also making inquiries in the surrounding areas and trying to collect information from any possible witnesses.
