In view of the increasing dangers of filth and diseases in Aliganj town of Etah, the City Congress Committee submitted a memorandum to Sub-Collector Jagmohan Gupta on Monday. Congress workers accused the municipal administration of negligence and demanded cleanliness of the city.

Under the leadership of State Congress Committee member Arvind Soni Advocate, the workers met the SDM and said that the drains of the city are clogged. Due to which the risk of diseases is increasing. Especially silt has accumulated in the drain leading from the camp to the market. Due to this, the health of the citizens is being played with. He demanded immediate cleanliness drive and spraying of pesticides.

Cleanliness campaign will be conducted in the city SDM Jagmohan Gupta assured the Congress workers that soon a cleanliness drive would be conducted in the city and strict instructions would be given to the municipal administration in this matter. Many Congress workers including Dr. Yogendra Pal Singh, Kuldeep Kumar Pandey, Rajbahadur Singh Shakya, Vikram Singh and Ghulam Mustafa were among those who submitted the memorandum.
