The District Hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri is set to enhance its patient care services. Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) Dr RK Koli announced the introduction of ECG facilities in the hospital wards, a crucial addition that was previously lacking and often caused significant inconvenience for patients.
In an effort to improve ward conditions and service quality, a meeting was convened at the CMS office, where Dr Koli issued important guidelines to the nursing staff. He emphasised the need for accountability, warning that any negligence regarding medical equipment would lead to repercussions for the responsible staff members. Strict action will be taken against any complaints received about staff misconduct or inadequate service.
Dr Koli noted that there have been multiple complaints via the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) about staff members mistreating patients and failing to provide essential medical services. Concerns were also raised about nurses taking unauthorised leave. He urged all employees to align their efforts with government objectives and to ensure patient care remains a top priority.
In the meeting, he highlighted the importance of regular attendance, proper patient treatment, and the effective use and maintenance of medical equipment. With ECG machines now available in every ward, all paramedical staff have received training to operate this equipment, ensuring that patients will benefit from enhanced medical services.
As a result of these changes, patients at the District Hospital can expect a significant improvement in the quality of care they receive.
