In view of the festival of Diwali, the administration has issued strict instructions for firecrackers in Aliganj town of Etah district. Now fireworks can be sold only at places marked by the administration. For this, it will be mandatory for the concerned vendors to obtain license. p

In the past years, many accidents have occurred due to the sale of fireworks in the markets during Diwali. Keeping this in mind, this time the administration has taken strict steps. To prevent recurrence of accidents in the district, designated places have been marked for the sale of firecrackers.
Deputy District Magistrate Jagmohan Gupta has identified Gautam Buddha Inter College in Aliganj, Gandhi Memorial Inter College in Jaithra, Ravana Dahan Maidan in Raja Ka Rampur and some other places for sale of fireworks. He has warned the vendors that if anyone is found selling firecrackers outside the marked places, strict action will be taken against him.
Along with this, it will be mandatory for licensed vendors to have fire fighting equipment following safety standards. Punitive action will be taken if the instructions issued by the administration are not followed.
