Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant has reached sixth place in the latest ICC Test rankings. He has benefited from excellent batting in the first match against New Zealand. He has jumped 3 places.
Pant has left Virat Kohli behind in the rankings. Virat has lost one place. He was out on the score of zero in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test. Virat has reached 8th place in the rankings. Whereas Yashasvi Jaiswal remains at number 4.
Pant got a jump of three places Pant has jumped three places. He has now reached number 6 with a rating of 745. Australia’s star batsman Usman Khawaja has lost one place. He has now moved to number 7 with a rating of 728. Kohli has lost one place. He has now moved to number eight with a rating of 720.
Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne also has a rating of 720, hence he is also jointly at number 8 with Kohli. Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis has benefited from his good performance. He has now reached number 10 with a rating of 716. He has got the advantage of one place. England’s Ben Duckett is very close to the top 10. He has jumped three places to reach number 11. His rating is 706.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also remains at fourth position Team India’s opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal now remains at number 4 with a rating of 780. His performance against New Zealand was mixed. Steve Smith also remains at number 5 with a rating of 757.
First place despite loss in route rating England’s Joe Root is at number one in the Test rankings for batsmen. Although earlier his rating had reached 932, it has now come down to 917. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson remains at second place with a rating of 821. Harry Brook has now dropped one place to number three. His rating has become 803.

Ravindra Jadeja is at number six. 3 Indians are included in the top-10 bowlers ranking.
