On Friday morning, three unidentified miscreants opened fire on the school van of BJP leader Chaudhary Virendra Singh in Gajraula police station area of Amroha. Van driver Monty told that three miscreants riding on a bike suddenly started firing, which created panic among the school children. The driver intelligently drove the van and somehow saved the children safely.
During the firing, shrapnel hit the driver’s window, but no one was reported injured. There were 28 school children in the bus at the time of the incident.
After this incident, the police reached the spot and started investigation and the van has been taken to the police station. Gajraula police station officials say that the search for the accused is going on and the investigation of the case is being taken seriously. After the incident, there has been a panic in the police administration in the entire area and security arrangements have been increased.
There was a dispute with the driver three days ago
Bus driver Monty told that three days ago he had a dispute with three youths riding a scooter. The youth had threatened to face dire consequences. Monty claims that the same three youths opened fire on the bus on Friday.
Demand for strict action
School director and BJP leader Chaudhary Virendra Singh has condemned the incident and demanded strict action from the police against the accused. He told that due to this incident, school children and bus drivers are badly scared, but due to the promptness of the police, there has been no major loss.
