Former Indian captain MS Dhoni can be seen playing in the next season of IPL. The captain, who won 5 titles for CSK, hinted at playing the next season of the Indian League during a promotional event of a software company in Goa on Friday.
43 year old Dhoni said- ‘In childhood, we used to go out to play at 4 pm and enjoy the game. But when you are playing a professional sport, it becomes difficult to enjoy cricket as a game. And that’s what I want to do. But it is not difficult. There will be emotions, but there will also be commentary. I want to enjoy this game for a few more years.
He said- ‘I have to keep myself fit for 9 months, so that I can play IPL for two and a half months. Planning is necessary for this. Also one has to remain quiet for some time. Dhoni has been made the brand ambassador of that company. A few days ago, he was also made the brand ambassador of Jharkhand elections.
CSK can retain him as an uncapped player Dhoni can play IPL as an uncapped player. CSK has the option to retain him as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore.
Left the captaincy last season, handed over the responsibility to Gaikwad MS Dhoni left the captaincy of CSK just before IPL-2024. He had handed over the responsibility of leading the team to young Rituraj Gaikwad. However, under the captaincy of Gaikwad, CSK team could not make it to the playoffs.
