Keeping in mind the increasing crowd of passengers on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath festival in Gorakhpur, the Railway Administration has decided to run three new festival special trains. These include trains running on Gorakhpur-Delhi, Gorakhpur-Mumbai and Chhapra-New Delhi routes.

Gorakhpur-Delhi special train: 05003 special train from Gorakhpur will run at 21:15 on every Wednesday on October 30 and November 06, 2024. This train will reach Delhi at 13:15 via Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Burhwal, Sitapur Jn., Bareilly, Moradabad and Ghaziabad. In the return journey, 05004 Delhi-Gorakhpur special train will depart from Delhi at 15:15 hrs on 31st October and 07th November, 2024 and reach Gorakhpur at 07:30 hrs. This train will have a total of 22 coaches, which include generator cum luggage van, ordinary second class, sleeper class and air-conditioned third class economy coaches.
Gorakhpur-Mumbai special train: 01019 Unreserved Special Train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (Mumbai) to Gorakhpur will run at 14:30 hrs on 28 October, 2024. This train will reach Gorakhpur at 23:00 via Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Gonda, and Basti. In the return journey, 01020 will depart from Gorakhpur to Mumbai at 00:45 on 30 October, 2024. There will be a total of 17 unreserved coaches in this train.
Chhapra-New Delhi Special Train: 05111 special train from Chhapra will run at 14:00 hrs on October 28, 04 and November 11, 2024. This train will reach New Delhi at 11:50 am via Masrakh, Dighwa Dubauli, Thawe, Tamkuhi Road, Padrauna, Kaptanganj, Pipraich, Gorakhpur, Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda and other stations. In return, 05112 New Delhi-Chhapra special train will run at 12:50 pm on October 29, 05 and November 12, 2024. This train will have 23 coaches, which include ordinary second class, sleeper class and air-conditioned third class coaches.
These special trains are being operated keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, so that they can travel safely and conveniently during festivals. The railway administration has requested passengers to use these special trains while planning their journey.
