While giving a complaint at Thariyav police station, the victim’s father said that his 16 year old daughter is a 11th class student in an inter college in the town. She went to college from home on Saturday. After the holidays, in the afternoon, Thariyanv was walking from school to Kasba intersection to fill the scholarship form.

Then a Muslim youth from the same village, a neighbor, stopped her on the way and coaxed the daughter and made her sit on his bike on the pretext of helping her in filling the scholarship form. After this the accused took her far away into the jungle bushes and raped her. If I complained to anyone, I was threatened with death and beaten badly. Hearing the screams of the victim, people ran to help, but the accused fled from the spot. After reaching home, the student gave complete information to her family.

Police station in-charge Arvind Kumar Rai told that a father has filed a complaint that his 16-year-old daughter was raped by a youth of the village after taking her to the forest. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered in this case and the girl has been medically examined. The absconding youth is being searched.
