Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reached Chitrakoot, the holy place of Lord Shri Ram. He along with his wife Seema Yadav worshiped the ancient Mukharvind Kamdagiri and started Panch Kosi Parikrama. Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla was also present with him.

Police of both states deployed

Extensive security arrangements have been made on the parikrama route. Around 500 personnel of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh police are deployed along the Parikrama Marg, and the entire route is being monitored with 80 CCTV cameras. Some part of the parikrama route falls in Uttar Pradesh and some in Madhya Pradesh, due to which police from both the states have been deployed.

Devotees looked excited

During the Chief Minister’s two-day visit to Chitrakoot, he worshiped Lord Kamdagiri in the morning and started parikrama after night rest. Many prominent people including Saint Vipin Virat Maharaj were present in the welcome on the Parikrama Marg. The Chief Minister was welcomed in a traditional manner in front of the idol of the Lord in the temple, due to which huge enthusiasm was seen among the devotees.
