A grand event of inter-college athletics men’s and girls’ competition was organized at Dr. AH Rizvi PG College ground in Kaushambi. The competition was inaugurated by SP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava, who stressed the importance of sports.

Excellent performance in men and women category
College team captain Preeti Kumari started the game by lighting the masala. In the 5000 meters race, student Tamanna stood first in the women’s category and Ramnivas stood first in the men’s category. Players from Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh and Fatehpur colleges participated enthusiastically in the competition.
Winners in different categories of the race
Student Anjali secured first position in 100 meter and 200 meter women’s race, while Preeti secured second position in 200 meter race. In other competitions, student Shikha Gupta won first place in 400 meter race, Shikha Gupta also in 800 meter race, and Suman student won first place in 1500 meter race.
Excellence ahead of competitors
Student Anjali in long jump, student of Dr. Rizvi Degree College in 2000 meter walking race, Yogesh Kumar in 100 meter men’s race, Devishankar Yadav in 200 and 400 meter race, Rudra Prakash Tiwari in 800 and 1500 meter race, and in 5000 meter race. Ramnivas secured the top position. Saurabh Mishra in shot put and Vivek Patel in discus throw also made their name shine.
Appreciation of college management
College Manager Karar Hussain Rizvi said that organizing the sports competition is a special achievement for the college. He also stressed the importance of motivation to win in defeat. Before the competition, students under the leadership of Dr. Captain Abu Talha Ansari, Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the college, presented a spectacular cultural program which added charm to the function.
