Following the instructions of District Magistrate Divya Mittal, Assistant Commissioner Food II, a special mobile team formed under the leadership of Chief Food Safety Officer Rajiv Mishra launched a campaign for effective prevention of sale of adulterated food and beverages in view of Diwali and other upcoming festivals.

Enforcement action in different areas of the district, especially for effective prevention of adulteration in food items like khoya, cheese, sweets made from milk and milk products, namkeen, dry fruits, edible oil and vegetable, ghee, colorful sweet toys and other food items etc. Was done.

One sample each of Khoya and Bundi was taken by food safety officers from the sales establishment located near the railway station in Deoria municipal area. One sample each of laddu and boondi has been collected from the laddu manufacturing unit located near Khukhundu market. The food movement team seized about one and a half quintal of Bundi from here on the basis of suspicion that it was sub-standard.

What did Assistant Security Commissioner Food II tell? Assistant Security Commissioner Food II Vinay Kumar Sahay said that in view of the Diwali festival, a total of 13 samples have been collected so far by inspecting 14 establishments and conducting 6 raids in the special campaign being run in the district. Which have been sent to the food analyst laboratory for testing. On receipt of the investigation report, further legal action will be taken.
