The country is all set to celebrate Diwali this week and Delhi has recorded the air quality in the ‘Very Poor’ category on Monday.
The national capital woke up to the Diwali week on Monday with the ‘Very Poor’ air quality as the overall AQI was recorded at 330 at 7 am in the city, as per SAFAR data.
Several areas in the capital saw the air quality of over 300 points while some also saw the AQI above 350.
The AQI had improved to the ‘Poor’ category on Saturday, however, it again slipped to the ‘Very Poor’ section the next day and continued to remain so on Monday morning.
The hazardous air quality was recorded in the beginning of the week in which Diwali will be celebrated on October 31.
