After winning the ODI World Cup in 2011, Indian players carried Gary Kirsten on their shoulders and did a victory lap.
Pakistan’s ODI and T-20 team coach Gary Kirsten has resigned. There were differences between 56-year-old Kirsten and the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Kirsten was appointed the coach of the Pakistani team 6 months ago in April-2024. At the same time, former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie was made the coach of the Pakistani Test team. Both of them had signed a 2-year contract. Gary Kirsten made India win the ODI World Cup in 2011 after a long wait of 28 years.
PCB makes many changes in support staff after ODI World Cup 2023 After the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, PCB made several changes in its support staff. The team could not qualify for the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup 2023.
Recently Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick also resigned from their posts. Arthur was appointed the director of the Pakistan men’s cricket team in April 2023. Bradburn was announced as the head coach of the team early last year.
