Shravasti’s SOG team has arrested a rewarded accused who forcefully took away 50 sheep from Balrampur. There was a reward of Rs 50,000 on this accused. The incident took place in Balrampur, so the police handed him over to Balrampur police.

On the night of 14 and 15 August 2024, the accused had threatened the shepherds who were guarding the sheep near village Shivanagar Chaypurwa Bhairwa canal and had taken away 50 sheep. The SOG team arrested the accused named Naresh alias Ramnaresh Sonkar from near Lotus Nikko.
The accused was handed over to Balrampur police.
After the arrest, Shravasti police handed over the accused to Balrampur police. SP Shravasti honored the SOG team with a reward of Rs 20,000 for successfully solving the incident.
11 pairs of silver anklets, 4 silver rings and Rs 2000 related to Arms Act have also been recovered from the accused.
