On the day of Dhanteras itself, 750 consumers of Saryu Enclave Society Avadh Vihar Yojana did not get electricity for 8 hours. People were troubled due to housing development. Actually, during the work, the housing development team cut the underground cable. Due to this about 3500 people were troubled.

Even water crisis arose in people’s homes. Saryu Enclave President Meena Singh said that electricity is being cut daily. About 3 hours after the complaint, people arrived to correct the supply. Told that it is festival time and there is darkness in the houses. Inverters also got discharged. There are ten towers in the society. At 4 pm, power supply to two towers was restored, but 750 consumers are still in the dark.
Electricity failure due to underground cabin disconnection
Vrindavan Division’s XEN Amit Kumar said that Awas Vikas is constructing electricity in Sector 7. During the same time, 11 KV underground cable was cut during excavation. Due to this the supply was disrupted. The light was not restored till around 12 o’clock in the night. A demand has been made to investigate how this wire was cut. CM has ordered that power supply should not be disrupted anywhere during the festival. This is the reason why repair work has also been banned till 31st October.
