Neeraj Shridhar mentioned how the success of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa title track helped him cement his position in Bollywood. He has lent his voice to all the three title tracks from the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise.

Neeraj Shridhar started his career with Bombay Vikings which was a huge sensation in the late 1990s to early 2000s. He started singing for Bollywood in 2006 and one of his biggest hits was the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa which gave him immense success. In a recent interview, Shridhar spoke about how the song helped him cement his position in Bollywood.
Speaking to PTI, Neeraj Shridhar mentioned that he was not used to singing for Bollywood when he sang the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He said that he had sung for other songs in multiple films but all of them were released at the same time. The release of the songs gave him immense success. The singer said, “When I sang the original, I was not used to singing Bollywood songs a lot. I had sung many songs for films like Heyy Babyy. Then, I did three songs for Love Aaj Kal like Chor Bazari, Aahun Aahun, and Twist. There was Race. I also sang Prem Ki Naiyya from Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.”
He continued, “But none of the songs had come out when Bhool Bhulaiyaa happened. All of a sudden, most of these songs came out around the same time. I owe it to this song. It brought me to Bollywood.” Shridhar mentioned how Pritam had told him that the song would be a hit after he had finished recording it in the studio. But he ‘took it like just another song.’
After the success of the title track, he was roped in to sing the new version of the song for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The sequel song also went on to become a hit. For Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, he collaborated with Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh and rapper Pitbull. The fusion song is loved by the audience. The third installment of the franchise is all set to release on November 1. It will star Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit in key roles.
Shridhar has sung for hit movies like Ready, Cocktail, Agent Vinod, and Golmaal Returns to name a few.
