The static team has recovered Rs 9 lakh 50 thousand from a businessman during checking near Chanha intersection in Bhiti police station area of ​​Ambedkar Nagar. According to the information, this businessman is a resident of Ayodhya district. Adarsh ​​Achar Sangh due to by-elections being held in Katehri Assembly.

ADM Sadanand Gupta said that due to the ongoing Katehari assembly by-election in the district, the static team was checking the area to ensure adherence to the model code of conduct. Meanwhile, Rs 9 lakh 50 thousand were recovered from a four-wheeler at Chanha intersection.

He said that according to the Model Code of Conduct, if a person has more than Rs 50 thousand, he will have to present valid documents. But due to not being able to show the documents this amount has been seized. The seized money belongs to Amit Kumar Prajapati, a resident of Mukimpur, Ayodhya, who had come to Bhiti for some work.
