In Azamgarh district, huge shopping was done till late night on the festival of Dhanteras. Markets across the city were prepared a day in advance for shopping at the auspicious time. In such a situation, a large number of customers had already booked their bikes and cars.

So that delivery can be taken on the day of Dhanteras. This is the reason why there was a huge crowd of customers at the automobile showroom till late night. While Maruti’s Boleno, Swift, Ertika were popular in the car segment, customers were seen buying i Ten along with Hyundai company’s Verna, Exeter and Aura.

According to the Panchang, the auspicious time started at 10.31 am on the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. At the same time, the end of this date will be the auspicious time on the next day i.e. 30th October at 1:15 pm. Regarding this, the traders of the district say that this time there was 20 percent more purchases compared to last year.

More than 3200 bikes were sold

Highest sales of bikes took place in the district on the festival of Dhanteras. Among these bikes, Hero’s bikes have been sold the most. Regarding the sale of diamond bikes in the district, Hero Agency owner Bholanath Jalan said that the highest sale of diamonds took place during the festival of Dhanteras. On the day of Dhanteras, more than 1600 bikes of Hero were sold while more than 500 bikes of Bajaj were also sold. Around 400 bikes of TVS, 500 of Honda and more than 120 of Bullet were sold.

Traders said inflation does not matter

People may talk about inflation but the way huge shopping was done on the festival of Dhanteras. One thing is clear from this that inflation does not matter. Talking about the price of gold in the district, 24 carat gold was Rs 80,950 per 10 grams while 18 carat gold jewelery was Rs 72 thousand per 10 grams. A huge crowd of customers was also seen at electronic shops.

Even after this, there was a huge crowd of customers at the jewelery shops. Business leaders say that inflation does not matter. Traders had also geared up in view of the festival and had collected all types of stocks in advance.

So that the customers do not go back without taking the goods, the faces of all types of shopkeepers lit up after seeing the crowd gathering in the markets. In Hindu religion, the festival of Dhanteras is a symbol of wealth, health, happiness and prosperity. The festival of Dhanteras is celebrated every year on the Trayodashi date of Kartik month.
