UP Bar Council has protested against the brutal police lathi charge on lawyers in Ghaziabad court. Besides, a special investigation committee has been constituted for a fair and transparent investigation of the case. Council President Shivkishore Gaur said that Rohitash was included in the special investigation committee.

Shiv Kishore Gaur said that the District Judge has called the police and Rapid Action Force and lathi-charged the advocates without informing the High Court or taking the UP Bar Council into cognizance. The Bar Council registers its protest against this act. He said that the guilty officers, be they police/administrative officers or judicial officers, will not be spared. The Bar Council demands strict action against them. The council has demanded the High Court to investigate and take strict action against such officers and immediately remove the police from the court premises. Also, an emergency meeting has been called on the issue on October 30 at 4 pm, in which a decision on further action will be taken.
