Farmers are facing a lot of problems due to stray cattle in Balrampur. Crops are getting ruined due to these cattle, due to which farmers are extremely worried. In view of these problems, the district administration spent Rs 1 crore 60 lakh in village Motipur.

Operation of the center till the end of November
The administration has announced that the operation of the Cow Protection Center will be started by the end of November. Department officials have given instructions to speed up the construction work so that it can be completed on time.
11,497 cows are already protected in the district
In view of the problem of stray cattle, 88 temporary, 15 Kanji houses, three Kanha Gaushalas and two big Gaushalas have already been built in Balrampur, where a total of 11,497 cows have been preserved. Despite this, stray cattle remain a big problem for the farmers. The number of accidents is also increasing due to cattle coming on the road.
Construction work going on for 1 year
The construction of this cow protection center being built in village Motipur has been going on for the last one year. The government had approved this project on 24 November 2023 and the last date for its completion has been set as 23 November 2024. According to the department, the construction work is almost complete and the remaining work will also be completed soon.
All facilities will be available in the cowshed
There will be 24-hour provision of water, straw and medicines for the cattle in the Cow Protection Centre. Four cattle sheds, chaff godown, an office, medicine room and store along with accommodation for the employees, bathroom, toilet, four pastures and water tank are being built in the cowshed.
Statement of Chief Veterinary Officer
Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Shyam Nagima Ram said, “The construction work of the Cow Protection Center being built in Motipur is almost complete. The remaining work will also be completed soon, so that its operation can start by November.”
