Diwali 2024: Ram Mandir in Ayodhya Decked Up For Historic Deepotsav, 28 Lakh Lamps To Be Lit – News18
Diwali 2024: All is set for the celebration of Diwali, a festival of lights, in the country with a special focus on Ayodhya which is awaiting the historic occasion on Thursday.
The Ram Mandir, which was inaugurated in January this year, is decked up for a grand show as 28 lakh lamps will be illuminated on Deepotsav this evening which will be a new world record.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be present at a ‘special aarti’ on the banks of river Saryu. Security has been ramped up in the city for the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a special mention of the Diwali in Ayodhya calling it “historic”. He said that thousands of lamps will be lit on the festival in the temple built on the birthplace of Ram Lalla.
“Many of us have seen many Diwalis, but this Diwali is historic,” PM Modi said.
The festival will be celebrated across the country on October 31 with joy and fervour. Several states and UTs have also banned the use of firecrackers, including Delhi, Bihar.
