The former One Direction member passed away after a tragic fall from his hotel balcony at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The release of former One Direction member Liam Payne’s last track titled, Do No Wrong, has been delayed. Musician Sam Pounds, who collaborated on the song with the late singer, shared his reasons, saying, “Today I’m deciding to hold ‘Do No Wrong’ and leave those liberties up to all family members.”

“I want all proceeds to] go to a charity of their choosing (or however they desire).”

Pounds continued, expressing the sentiment behind his choice, “Even though we all love the song it’s not the time yet. We are all still mourning the passing of Liam, and I want the family to mourn in peace and prayer. We will all wait.”

Initially, Pounds planned to release Do No Wrong soon and reportedly shared a presale link with fans. His message at the time was filled with hope, “I pray that this will be a blessing to the world as Liam has always dreamed.” He also posted a personal video, filmed by Payne’s sister, Ruth Gibbons, in which he reflected on their time making music together. Although Pounds has since removed these posts, artwork for the single can still be found online, preserving the anticipation for its eventual release.

Payne, who released his debut solo album, LP1, in 2019, was working on new music. His most recent single, Teardrops, dropped in March, but details about his unreleased work remain under wraps. Meanwhile, the release of a Netflix series featuring Payne, titled Building the Band, has also been put on hold.

The sudden loss of Payne has left fans heartbroken. The 31-year-old died after a tragic fall from his hotel balcony at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was to attend a concert by his former bandmate Niall Horan. Payne had extended his stay, while his girlfriend reportedly returned to Florida days before the incident.

Payne’s funeral is still pending as authorities continue their investigation in Argentina. Early autopsy findings revealed he died instantly from the 45-foot fall and toxicology reports later reportedly confirmed the presence of substances like cocaine and crack in his system.
