On Thursday, a speeding car hit a bike on Katahighat road in Bahraich district. The youth riding the bike was seriously injured in this accident. Local people informed the police about the incident.

The police reached the spot and immediately sent the injured to the district hospital via ambulance, but the doctors declared him dead. The deceased was identified as 38-year-old Alakh Ram, a resident of Nevada area under Ram Gaon police station area.
On Thursday, Alakh Ram was going towards the market on bike. As soon as he reached near Mahottam Purva intersection, a speeding car coming from the front hit his bike. After the accident, local people immediately informed Ram Gaon police.
Ramgaon police station in-charge Alok Singh said that Alakh Ram died in this road accident. Police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for postmortem and further action is being taken.
