Once again the problem of fertilizer has started worsening in Lalitpur. Farmers have to stand in long queues at shops to buy fertilizer, and they are getting it at rates higher than the fixed price. A video of black marketing of fertilizer in Mehrauni is going viral on social media.

Strict instructions from the District Magistrate
The District Magistrate has formed special teams to ensure availability of fertilizers and to stop black marketing, which are continuously conducting raids. However, the courage of black marketing shopkeepers is still high, and incidents of selling fertilizers to farmers at expensive rates are coming to light.
Video went viral on social media
In a video that has been going viral for two days, a conversation between a fertilizer seller and a farmer from Mehrauni can be seen regarding the price of a bag of fertilizer. In the video, the farmer asks the price of DAP, on which the shopkeeper talks about giving DAP worth Rs 1350 for Rs 1450. When the farmer insists on giving fertilizer at a reasonable rate, the shopkeeper says that when he himself is getting it at an expensive rate then how can he give it at a cheaper rate.
