With just days left before voting day, many anticipated Trump would highlight his promises or key policies. But instead, he chose an unexpected target: pop icon Beyonce.
Rather than diving into campaign pledges, Trump reportedly took a detour to criticise Beyonce’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris, his Democratic opponent, at a rally in Houston on Friday, October 25.
According to TMZ, Trump told the crowd that despite backing Harris, Beyonce didn’t even perform for her supporters, suggesting it was a lacklustre endorsement. He claimed that the rally had been disappointing for Harris’ fans, who, according to Trump, had expected a full show from Beyonce and ended up expressing their displeasure by booing both the singer and Harris.
However, TMZ also pointed out that Trump’s remarks were not true, shedding light on what took place at Harris’ rally. Contrary to Trump’s statements, Beyonce was not booed, and the event wasn’t a flop. Beyonce made it clear that she was attending as a mother supporting Harris rather than as a performer or celebrity. The 32-time Grammy winner gave a passionate speech, voicing her trust in Harris to ensure a safer future for women and for the nation. She conveyed that her role in the rally wasn’t to entertain but to endorse Harris sincerely.
While Trump painted a different picture to his supporters, the actual response from the crowd was far from what he described, reports TMZ.
According to reports, Beyonce’s words resonated powerfully with the audience, who respected her presence and appreciated her endorsement. She may not have sung that day, but her voice carried weight, sending a message of unity and hope for Harris’ campaign, TMZ informs.
