A case of rape of a minor by a youth has come to light in a village under Dokati police station area of Ballia. The perpetrator of the incident lives next door to the victim’s house. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police registered a case against the accused youth.

A woman resident of a village in Dokati police station area lodged a complaint in Dokati police station on Friday. It is alleged that on October 29, a young man living next to my house reached my house. From where he took my daughter by the hand and took her to his home. Where he carried out the incident with my daughter.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dakshina Kripa Shankar said that as soon as the information was received, the police immediately registered an FIR under relevant sections. The forensic team inspected the incident site and secured it. The police have taken the named accused into custody and are interrogating them. Necessary legal action is being taken.
