A 10 year old boy was brutally murdered by slitting his throat on Saturday night in Kanpur Dehat. This created a stir in the area and within no time a situation of tension was created in the village. The police sent the body for postmortem and started investigating the case. For security reasons, PAC has been deployed in the village along with forces from several police stations. Police detained many people on suspicion and are interrogating them.

When he did not return home for a long time, his family members went out to search for him and found him lying in a pool of blood in the market, some distance away from the post. His neck was slit with a sharp weapon. The family immediately took him to the district hospital. Where the doctor declared him dead. As soon as information was received that a student was murdered by slitting his throat at some distance from the post, a crowd of people gathered from the spot to the district hospital and started creating ruckus.

The villagers accused the other section of the village and some other people of carrying out the crime. In view of the tense situation in the village, forces from several police stations were deployed at the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, Superintendent of Police BBGTS Murthy along with District Magistrate Alok Singh also reached the spot.
