On the day of Bhai Dooj, the body of a youth was found hanging from a Neem tree in Nagla Kanj village of Bewar police station area in Mainpuri. Seeing the dead body, sensation spread in the entire village and all the villagers gathered at the spot. The deceased has been identified as Rajan son of Doorbeen Singh. who has been missing since Saturday night

Bhai Rajan told – He had left the house on Saturday night saying he was going to meet someone, but did not return the whole night. Even after a lot of searching, no trace of him was found. The next morning the villagers saw his body hanging from a tree. He was with me till around 8 pm, after which he went somewhere. We got information in the morning that his body was hanging from a tree. We suspect that he was murdered and hanged.
Postmortem report will reveal Bewar police station in-charge Anil Kumar Singh said that the cause of death will be ascertained after postmortem of the body. Preliminary investigation is underway and further action will be taken only after the postmortem report. Keeping in mind the allegations of the family members, the matter is being investigated from every aspect.
