In Kanpur Fazalganj, an auto overturned while trying to save a senior citizen riding a scooter. The auto driver died in the accident. While six passengers were injured. The police admitted the injured to the hall, where the doctors declared the driver dead. while others are undergoing treatment

ADCP Central Mahesh Kumar told that Guddan (42), living in Babupurwa Colony, used to drive an auto. There are four children in the family including wife Shabnam Begum. Uncle Laggan Ahmed told that Guddan’s auto was driven by drivers in two shifts. Both the drivers used to drive auto on Vijay Nagar to Ghantaghar route. The driver for Sunday morning shift did not come and booking for Vijay Nagar was received. At around 8 o’clock he took a ride from Ghantaghar to Vijay Nagar.
During this time, a scooty rider suddenly came in front of the auto near Char Khambha well on the way. While trying to save him, his auto went out of control and overturned. Many passengers including auto driver Guddan were injured in the accident. Fazalganj police station in-charge Sunil Kumar Singh said that the driver died when the auto overturned while saving the scooter rider. On receipt of complaint from family members, action will be taken after registering a report.
