A double decker bus caught fire today near village Midhavali on Yamuna Expressway in Sadabad Kotwali area of Hathras. The passengers saved their lives by jumping from the bus. A double decker bus from Wazirabad in Delhi was going to Sipol in Bihar. For some reason, the luggage kept on top of the bus caught fire near village Midhavali in Sadabad Kotwali area on Yamuna Expressway at around 8 pm. Seeing the rising flames today, there was panic among the passengers. The passengers saved their lives by jumping.
There was no loss of life. Within a short time the bus burst into flames. Traffic also stopped on Yamuna Expressway. On receiving the information, firefighters and police forces from the fire station reached there. Fire brigade brought this fire under control. Superintendent of Police Nipun Aggarwal said that there was no loss of life of any kind due to this fire. The fire has been brought under control.
