A surprising case has come to light in Parhi village of Robertsganj. Where two people, claiming to be the heirs of a deceased, tried to get dozens of bighas of land in their names. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, the SDM expedited the investigation of the case and helped the victim’s side.

On behalf of the victim, advocate Shashank Shekhar Katyan said that after the death of Parhi resident Banshi Yadav, her brother’s sons took over her land, claiming themselves as heirs. According to the advocate, Banshi Yadav has only two daughters – Gangi and Rampati, but with the help of fake documents, his brother’s sons not only inherited the land but also got their names registered in the family register. When the daughters of the deceased came to know about this fraud, they wrote a letter to the DM pleading for justice.
On the instructions of the DM, the SDM has taken cognizance of the matter and ordered the victim to present evidence. On Monday, both the victim sisters and the villagers accompanying them reached the SDM office and recorded their statements.
The victim’s son says that two people from the same village have wrongly acquired the land rights in the name of his mother’s cousin Banshi Yadav. He says that his mother has the right on this land and he had reached the tehsil to record his statement regarding this.
