A 20-day-old dead body of a youth was found hanging from a noose in a house in Indira Nagar, Lucknow. After a long time, the brother reached home and informed the police about the foul smell coming from the house. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

Lived alone at home, brother saw dead body The body of Vijay Verma (36), resident of Indira Nagar Sector-9 Lohia Bihar Colony, was found on Monday afternoon. Due to not being married, he lived alone in his two-storey house. Father and brother live with their family in another house near their house. Police said that about 20 days ago, it was revealed that Vijay had committed suicide by hanging a sheet from a fan. Since he was alone, no one came to know about it. On Monday, when the brother went inside the house when the door did not open, there was a foul smell. When they opened the window of the room, the body was found lying on the ground tied to the fan. After which he informed the control room.
After which the body has been sent for post-mortem. The family members have not made any allegations regarding the incident. Further action will be taken on the basis of investigation and post mortem report.
