After being whitewashed by New Zealand in the Test series, the Indian team will now have to shift their focus to white-ball cricket. In their next assignment, India will be up against South Africa in a four-match T20I series. The first match begins on Friday, November 8, with the opening fixture scheduled to be played in Durban. India will be led by Suryakumar Yadav against the Proteas. South Africa will feature in the series under the captaincy of Aiden Markram. He will be supported by other senior batters like Heinrich Klaasen, Reeza Hendricks and David Miller. In the bowling department, the hosts will heavily rely on the likes of Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee. Keshav Maharaj will lead the spin attack for South Africa.
The series opener between South Africa and India will be the first since the T20 World Cup 2024 final where the Proteas suffered a heartbreaking defeat. India clinched a terrific win by seven runs at Barbados earlier this year in June to lift the T20 World Cup trophy.

Full Schedule
The T20I series opener between India and South Africa will be played at Kingsmead, Durban on Friday, November 8. India will travel to St George’s Park in Gqeberha for the next T20I to be played on Sunday, November 10. The penultimate game will take place three days later at the SuperSport Park, Centurion. The fourth and final fixture of the series will be played in Johannesburg on November 15.
