Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has criticized the Indian batsmen. The 43-year-old former cricketer, after suffering a historic clean sweep against New Zealand, said that our batsmen could not play the average spinners of New Zealand. Taking his point further, Kaif said that spinners like Ajaz Patel can be found in every local club of Delhi, whereas Glenn Phillips is a part-time spinner.
Kaif posted a video on social media platform Let us tell you that Team India had to face 3-0 defeat in the 3-match Test series against New Zealand.
In this series, Indian batsmen were seen struggling against the average spin bowling of the Kiwis. Apart from Rishabh Pant (261 runs), no other Indian batsman could score more than 200 runs.
Highlights of Kaif…
- Glenn Phillips is a part-timer and doesn’t know how to bowl good balls. We lost to part-timers, not the best spinners.
- People should say that Ijaz has taken 22 wickets at Wankhede Stadium. He can’t even land the ball properly. Ijaz bowled only two good balls in an over and took wickets.
- The defeat in the final test is shameful. There was no bowler in the New Zealand team in the Mumbai Test.
- Mitchell Santner bowled well. The bowling that Santner bowled in Pune was one of the best performances of the Test match.
Ijaz is New Zealand’s top wicket taker Ajaz Patel was New Zealand’s top wicket taker in this Test series against India. He took 11 wickets in the third test played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He took 5 wickets in the first innings and 6 wickets in the second innings. Ejaz is a resident of Mumbai. He played the initial cricket of his career in Mumbai only. Then later he started playing for New Zealand team.
Took all 10 wickets of the innings at Wankhede Ajaz Patel has taken all 10 wickets in the innings against India in the 2021 tour. Then he became the third bowler in the world to do so in the history of Test cricket. England’s Jim Laker and India’s Anil Kuble have achieved this feat.
