Suriya And Bobby Deol’s Kanguva To Release On 10,000 Screens – News18

Highlighting the grand scale that has been planned for its release, producer G Dhananjeyan expressed that the team is proud to go global with Kanguva.

Fans are waiting with bated breath for Suriya’s upcoming release, Kanguva. The film, amid much anticipation, will arrive in theatres on November 14. Ahead of the film’s release, its makers organised a press conference in Bengaluru on November 4. Highlighting the grand scale that has been planned for Kanguva’s release, producer G Dhananjeyan noted that he, along with the team, is proud to go global with Kanguva. Sharing further details, he also admitted to targeting over 10,000 screens for the film.

G Dhananjeyan, the head of Studio Green, reportedly said at the press conference, “We’re more than excited. In Tamil Nadu, more than 700 screens have already been confirmed. In the South alone, more than 2,500 screens and in North India, we’ve locked in nearly 3,000 to 3,500 screens. Everything put together, we’re very proud to say, Kanguva will be released on more than 10,000 screens on November 14.”

Directed by Siva, Kanguva’s big-budget film had fans buzzing with excitement. Now, given the producer’s claims, the film has also become Suriya’s biggest-ever theatrical release in his career, only adding to the excitement around it. Additionally, Kanguva will be released in 2D and 3D formats in multiple languages. In the period fantasy drama, the protagonist will be seen playing two contrasting roles – Kanguva and Francis Theodore.

The remaining star cast of Kanguva also includes Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala and Anandraj among others. The film is jointly produced by Studio Green and UV Creations.

Most recently, it was revealed that the total runtime of Suriya’s film is 2 hours and 34 minutes. A post shared on X confirmed, “Kanguva Final Runtime – 2hr 34min. 1st Half – 1 Hr 23 Mins and 2nd Half – 1 Hr 11 Mins.”

Kanguva was originally scheduled to hit the theatres on October 10. The makers, however, stepped in with the decision to postpone the release date to avoid its box office clash with Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan.

Now, with the film’s release date inching closer, the cast has kickstarted the promotions, with makers also not leaving any stone unturned, constantly organising press conferences, audio launches and songs. Reportedly, Kanguva’s first show will open at 4 am in northern states, some parts of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
