Theft of lakhs of rupees in cash from an abandoned house, police engaged in investigation
Naresh Sachan, resident of Jawahar Nagar East II, Ghatampur Nagar, had gone to Vaishno Devi temple with his family on the festival of Diwali. He told that tenant Sushil Kumar, bank manager, SBI Nauranga, lives on the upper part of the house. Who had gone to his home in Kanpur for the festival. When he returned home in the morning after celebrating the festival, Sushil saw that the locks of the main gate and the doors of the rooms were broken. All the things inside the house were lying in disarray. On which he called the landlord and informed the police about the incident. After receiving the information, on reaching the landlord’s house late in the evening, it was found that an unknown thief had entered inside by breaking the lock of the gate door, broken the locks of the rooms and stolen jewelery worth lakhs along with cash from the boxes and cupboards kept inside. Ghatampur police reached the spot after receiving information and are investigating the incident. Ghatampur Inspector Dhananjay Kumar Pandey said that the incident is being investigated. Further action will be taken on the basis of the complaint.
