The sighting of a 15 feet long python on the road to Bhira in Palia town of Lakhimpur-Kheri created a stir in the area. This python was seen roaming on the roadside near Reliance Petrol Pump.

There was panic among the people after seeing the python. At first people got scared after seeing such a huge python, but soon their curiosity increased and they started gathering to see it.
Local residents immediately informed the forest department, after which the forest department team reached the spot and rescued the python with great difficulty. During this time, along with the forest workers, local police and members of the cow protection team were also present.
The rescue team carefully caught the python and released it safely into the forest. The local villagers thanked the Forest Department team and appealed to be aware of such incidents.
