These days, farmers in Pilibhit are very worried due to non-availability of fertilizers. Farmers say that fertilizer is not available at most places across the district. Fertilizer is available in private shops, but it is being black marketed. On which the officials are not paying attention.

Actually, there is shortage of these two fertilizers in many different areas of UP. Yogi government is also serious about this, Yogi government has issued instructions to all the district level officials to ensure the availability of fertilizers. In such a situation, Dainik Bhaskar’s team also went on the ground and investigated the matter regarding the availability of fertilizers and found out that the game of black marketing of fertilizers is going on across the district.
Farmers are not getting fertilizer
A large crowd of farmers was seen at IFFCO’s Farmers Service Center located in Pilibhit Mandi, but farmers did not get fertilizer. Farmers say that DAP and NPK fertilizers are required for sowing crops like wheat. Its availability is negligible in cooperative societies.
Farmers say that this fertilizer is available in private shops, but despite the government rate being ₹ 1470, it is being sold at ₹ 1600 to ₹ 1700. Due to which it is clearly putting a burden on the pockets of the farmers.
Black marketing openly, officers silent
The game of black marketing of fertilizers is going on across the district, but the officials are not paying attention to it. Due to which farmers are facing many problems. Farmers from different areas are visiting cooperative societies, but they are not able to get fertilizer.
District Agriculture Officer said – action will be taken after investigation
Giving information on the matter, District Agriculture Officer Narendra Pal said that there is availability of fertilizers in the entire district, there is no shortage of fertilizers. If black marketing is happening somewhere then action will be taken against it.
When information was taken from AR Cooperative Pradeep Singh about the availability of fertilizer, he said that fertilizer is available in the societies falling under the jurisdiction of all the cooperatives across the district.
