‘Kamala Harris’ Struggles Between Voting Trump And Harris In US Election: ‘Support Abortion, Like Weed’ – News18

The woman with the same name as VP, said that she appreciates Kamala Harris’s stance on abortion and also agrees with Trump’s support of marijuana legalisation.

Kamala Harris, a woman with the same name as the outgoing Vice President of the United States, found herself uncertain about who to vote for in the election. A mother of three, Harris saw something appealing in both presidential candidates.
Kamala Harris expressed that it would not be wise to vote for a candidate simply because they share the same name. “I think it would be really really silly just to vote for somebody just because they have my name without doing any research, or knowing what they stand for,” she told CBS News.
“Support abortion, like weed”
The mother of three said that she appreciates Kamala Harris’s stance on abortion and also agrees with Trump’s support of marijuana legalisation. “Kamala supports abortion which I really like. Trump says that he supports weed which I really like,” she explained
“Economics will decide between Trump and Harris”
While she didn’t disclose her final choice, Harris mentioned that the economy, especially issues like tariffs on foreign goods entering the United States, would ultimately influence her decision
“Tariffs are the greatest thing ever invented,’’ Trump had said in Michigan.
“I’m sure if we looked at this [her child’s toy] it was made in China. That is going to hurt consumers so bad in the end,” the woman noted.
Planned Parenthood
Trump, in an interview in 2016, said that he would end federal funding for Planned Parenthood due to his “pro-life” stance. In a recent interview, Trump’s running mate JD Vance maintained the same stance: “On the question of defunding Planned Parenthood, look, I mean our view is we don’t think that taxpayers should fund late-term abortions. That has been a consistent view of the Trump campaign the first time around. It will remain a consistent view.”
This didn’t sit well with Harris, who had benefited from the programme. “You can’t close it down, and get rid of all of the other things that it helps with, because you don’t like one thing it does,” she said.
The woman added, “A lot of people don’t know Planned Parenthood that they help low-income people with birth control, Pap smears, and mammograms. It’s all free if you are broke, and I happened to be broke.”
In March this year, Kamala Harris visited a Planned Parenthood clinic in Minnesota, marking the first time a sitting US Vice President or President visited an abortion provider.
As someone who shares her name with the US Vice President, Harris has been inundated with donation requests on her PayPal account.
“One was for $5,000 for someone’s mother’s surgery, and the other was for $500,000,” laughs Harris.
