Preparations for Chhath Puja have been completed at Amrit Sarovar Ghat in Gilola of Shravasti. On Chhath festival, women will keep a fast and worship Lord Surya and Chhathi Maiya at the ghat. District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi and Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Ch regarding this event.

On this holy festival of Chhath Puja, devotees offer Arghya to the rising and setting sun. It is believed that worshiping Chhathi Maiya as per the rituals brings health, happiness, prosperity and happiness of children. This festival will be celebrated in the district on 7th and 8th November, in view of which all necessary preparations are being made by the administration.
Instructions for proper traffic arrangements During the inspection, the District Magistrate directed to ensure proper arrangements for cleanliness, lighting, barricading, law and order and traffic. Where there is high water, strong barricading is being done and arrangements for divers and boats have also been made to avoid any untoward incident.
The Superintendent of Police said that keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, adequate police force will be deployed at the ghats. No one should face any inconvenience.
